Last updated: 2026-03-31
These Terms of Service govern your use of Parall and related websites, services, and content provided by Ihor July (“I”, “me”, “my”, or “Developer”).
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Parall, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Parall.
- About Parall
Parall is a macOS app that allows users to create shortcut app bundles and related launch configurations for apps already installed on their Mac.
Parall is intended to help users launch supported third-party apps with custom settings, visual identity, and optional data separation features. Compatibility may vary depending on the target app, macOS version, system configuration, or changes made by third-party app developers.
- License
Subject to these Terms, I grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to download, install, and use Parall for your personal or internal business use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, in accordance with applicable law and App Store rules.
You may not:
- copy, distribute, resell, rent, lease, or sublicense Parall
- modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of Parall except where such restriction is prohibited by law
- use Parall in a way that violates applicable law, third-party rights, or these Terms
- use Parall to interfere with, damage, or gain unauthorized access to software, services, or systems
- Third-Party Apps
Parall works with third-party apps that are not owned or controlled by me. All third-party app names, trademarks, bundle identifiers, and logos belong to their respective owners.
References to third-party apps in Parall, on the Parall website, or in compatibility materials are provided for informational and compatibility purposes only. Such references do not imply endorsement, affiliation, sponsorship, or partnership unless explicitly stated otherwise.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of any third-party app with Parall complies with that app’s own license terms, account terms, and usage policies.
- Compatibility and Availability
Parall is provided with compatibility information for certain apps and app families. Compatibility is provided on a best-effort basis and may change over time.
I do not guarantee that:
- every app will support multi-instance launching
- every app will support separate data
- compatibility settings will remain functional after updates to macOS or third-party apps
- all features will be available on all macOS versions or hardware configurations
Some features may be unavailable, limited, or unsupported for sandboxed apps, iOS or iPadOS apps on Mac, or apps whose architecture prevents certain functionality.
- User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- selecting which apps to use with Parall
- verifying compatibility before purchase or use
- reviewing any launch settings, environment variables, arguments, or data paths you configure
- complying with all applicable laws and the terms of any third-party apps or services
You are also responsible for backing up important data before using data separation, custom launch settings, or any workflow that changes how a third-party app is launched.
- No Warranty
Parall is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.
I make no warranties, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, compatibility, availability, or that Parall will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your expectations.
- Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or device functionality arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use Parall.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, my total liability for any claim relating to Parall will not exceed the amount you paid for Parall.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
- Updates and Changes
I may release updates, fixes, new features, compatibility changes, or removals at any time. Some updates may be necessary for security, stability, or compatibility reasons.
I may also modify these Terms from time to time. If I make material changes, I will update the date at the top of these Terms. Continued use of Parall after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
- Privacy
Your use of Parall is also governed by the Privacy Policy available at:

- Termination
These Terms remain in effect until terminated by you or me.
You may terminate them at any time by uninstalling Parall and stopping all use of it.
I may suspend or terminate your access to Parall or related services if you violate these Terms or use Parall in a way that creates legal, technical, or security risk.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law.
- Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, excluding its conflict of law rules, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.
